About Kirk Warner of Kirk's Traveling Kitchen
About
Kirk’s Traveling Kitchen is a private culinary events company created by Kirk Warner, an acclaimed chef, wine educator & culinary consultant based in St. Louis, Missouri.
A native of Paw Paw, Michigan, Kirk began his culinary career at a young age. In his mother’s small bistro adjacent to the family winery, he was waiting tables, giving winery tours and preparing simple bistro fare before he was a teenager.
Following college, and after working in a variety of restaurants, traveling extensively and reading every cookbook he could get his hands on, Kirk landed in St. Louis, Missouri to take the executive chef position at a fledgling tavern called King Louie’s. In just over five years at the helm of King Louie’s he helped transform what was once a college bar into one of the most respected restaurants in St. Louis, and in the process garnered numerous local and national accolades for both the restaurant and himself.
After years of success as an executive chef, Kirk started the Traveling Kitchen with an interest in focusing on small, private dinners and cooking class parties. Shortly after he began designing interactive culinary and wine experiences for corporate clients with a focus on team unity and employee development. Kirk’s Traveling Kitchen has prepared elaborate meals, taught cooking classes or delivered corporate events in locales as diverse as: Athens, New York, Lithuania, Luxembourg, and San Francisco.
